Every couple has a story, and our goal is to capture the real, unfiltered version of yours. These portrait sessions are not about perfection or forced smiles. The laughter, the quiet touches, the way your energy naturally flows together—that’s what we love to document.

During your session, we’ll guide you just enough to help you feel comfortable, but most of the time you’ll simply be free to enjoy each other. Walk hand in hand along the shoreline, lean into a warm embrace, or let the playful side of your relationship take over. Our approach is relaxed, natural, and rooted in connection

About us

We are Davina & Daniel! After nearly two decades of traveling the world, documenting weddings, and teaching visual storytelling to other photographers, we decided to slow down (way down!) and settle in the beautiful town of Samara, which has been home for us since 2021.

It’s our absolute joy to capture the love, connection, and unique moments that make each family so special. Being entrusted with the task of creating memories that will last a lifetime is truly a gift.

F.A.Q.

Can we do a shorter session?
We’ve found that one hour is the ideal amount of time for a couples session. It gives you both the chance to settle in, feel comfortable in front of the camera, and forget it’s even there. This timeframe allows us to capture a mix of classic portraits and candid moments that reflect your natural connection without feeling rushed.

Sometimes, everything comes together quickly and we may wrap up a little sooner, but we always allow for a relaxed, unhurried experience.

If you have less time to dedicate to a session, shorter options are available:

$300 USD — 30min session (25-50 images)
$150 USD — 15min session (15-25 images)

Where/when does the photoshoot take place?
We’ll decide on a meeting point on Samara Beach closer to the day of your session, taking into account the tide, time of year, and how busy the beach is.

We schedule sessions at the end of the day when the light is soft and magical—typically around 4 PM, though the exact time may vary depending on the season.

What should we wear?
The short answer is: whatever you want!
Your outfits should reflect what you want the images to exude and/or everyone's personalities.

Our go-to tips are:
- opt for coordinating styles and colors instead of matching
- avoid logos
- prioritize comfort
- choose low-maintenance outfits that allow you to enjoy the shoot without distractions

What happens if it’s raining?
We will be monitoring the weather forecast in the days leading up to your shoot. We can work in a light drizzle, and if a bigger storm is moving through, we will communicate with you to see if shooting at your accommodation can be an option, or if we should try to reschedule. Should we be unable to find a new time, we will issue a full refund (after all efforts to find a new time & location have been exhausted).

I’m ready to book! How do I secure my session?
Click HERE to check our availability. Once you’ve selected a date & time, you will be taken to a checkout page where we ask for a 50% deposit. The balance is due in cash on the day of the shoot. We will send you an email to confirm everything!
