Welcome to Samara

This is our favourite place in the world, the place we call home. Here, time slows, sunsets glow golden, and little moments feel like magic. It’s the backdrop to so many memories, our own and those we’ve been lucky enough to capture.

Whether you’re here on a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or to celebrate your wedding day, your time in Sámara deserves to be remembered.

Our photography focuses on natural-light portrait sessions for families, couples, and destination weddings in Sámara, Nosara, and throughout Costa Rica.

Kids chasing waves, barefoot celebrations in the sand, or wedding vows under the setting sun, we’re here to document it all.

These sessions are about capturing your family at this moment in time. While we make sure to grab that one traditional shot where everyone looks their best, we let the littlest ones take the lead. We’ll capture the play, the connection, and the beautiful chaos, allowing every personality to shine.

Laughter, tenderness, or the little ways you naturally connect, those are the moments we love to capture. Our goal is to create space where you can relax into each other and let the magic unfold, so your photos feel as real and alive as the love you share.

About us

We are Davina and Daniel! After nearly two decades of traveling the world, documenting weddings, and teaching visual storytelling to other photographers, we slowed down (way down!) and settled in the beautiful town of Samara, which has been home for us since 2021.

It’s our absolute joy to capture the love, connection, and unique moments that make each family so special. Being entrusted with the task of creating memories that will last a lifetime is truly a gift.
